Why Montique

Furniture that stays.

Many shelves are built for one move, not for a lifetime. Montique is the opposite: a system that moves house with you, can be rebuilt and does not go out of fashion.

The joint in raking light: four profiles meet at a single node

The idea

One element. Everything else follows.

Montique is made from a single aluminium profile with an integrated joint. The profiles slide into one another by hand, and an expanding dowel pulls them tight. One tool, one movement, no visible screw.

The material

Aluminium. Anodised, not painted.

The colour forms in the metal itself, not as a layer on top. It does not flake. Aluminium does not rust, does not warp and can be recycled cleanly, again and again.
