Do I need tools to assemble it?
The profiles slide into the integrated joint by hand. Each connection is then fixed with a single tool in one movement: the expansion dowel tensions it without play. The expansion dowels are included — no visible screws, no fittings.
Does the shelf have to go against a wall?
No. Montique stands freely on its own feet, which also makes it a room divider that is open on both sides. Frames add stability — we recommend one frame per row. After you order, we check every configuration for stability and add a wall fixing (anti-tip fixing) where needed. For tall or narrow builds we recommend an anti-tip fixing in every case; fitting it to the wall is the customer’s responsibility.
Can I extend or rebuild it later?
Yes, compartment by compartment. Every configuration can be taken apart, rebuilt and extended; the profiles stay compatible across all batches. Spare parts and extensions can be reordered at any time.
When does it ship — and what if it doesn’t fit?
Batch 01 arrives from winter 2026 in a small run — for the Owners list first. And if it doesn’t fit: 30-day returns. Build it, live with it, decide.
How much does one shelf hold?
30 kg per compartment. If you have an unusual load in mind, ask us beforehand — write to us.
